Games

I’ve been playing video games since some iteration of an Atari that my 3rd grade friend, Ronny, had at his house. Also that year I purchased, with my own money, the original 8-bit Nintendo for $99 at the local K-Mart. My life was changed forever. Through the years I owned a Genesis, Super Nintendo, PlayStation (PS) and PlayStation2 (PS2). It was around the time of the PS that my availability to play games shortened. I was woring full time and trying to get an education at the University of Washington. Eventually, I got married and had kids which really shortens the gaming time (note: wife and kids are infinitely better than gaming). I think I got most of my gaming in at work playing Quake III against my co-workers.

Today I own an XBOX 360, a Nintendo Wii & DS and of course I have a PC that plays Games for Windows. I’ve started the process of more balance in my life (aka putting more effort into doing things that make me happy instead of being overly concerned with everyone else). I actually play games more often now. At the time of this writing I’ve managed to make it through Gears of War, BioShock and Guitar Hero III for my 360. I love playing my 360. Beautiful graphics, stories and controls. Even though I purchased the Wii about a year ago and do greatly admire what they’ve done with the console, I almost never play it. Hard for me to get over the inferior graphics and games… though I’m open to chaning my opionion if someone wants to throw a game at me.

Anyways, as this site grows I’ll put more about games on this page. In the meantime, click on my XBOX 360 gamer card to check out what I’m playing.

Sean.
