The Number 23 Posted on September 2nd
We downloaded the Jim Carrey movie, “The Number 23″, via XBOX Live Marketplace. We usually only do this to get HD content for the new TV, but this time it was because Netflix selections weren’t mutual and it’s just a movie we wanted to watch together. I’d say this movie was good, but not great. I most enjoyed how the movie was told, the imagination flashes, the actual flashbacks and the all around creativity of a lot of the shots. The concept of the movie, however, seemed kinda week. This idea that everything adds up to 23… well I think if you want to find something you’ll make a way to get it. If you are looking for 23, you can stretch anything into adding up to 23. Let’s take my birthday: March 24th. Hmm, March (3) minus 24 = 21. Oh, that didn’t work. Let’s see, how can we get to 23? I know lets use the year! 1977. It’s 23 years from the year 2000! Yeah! This type of stuff was thankfully addressed in the movie too.
Bottom line, good movie. Go Netflix it!
