We’re Selling our Place! Posted on January 22nd
So much has happened lately. We secured out Woodinville property, which won’t be complete until June. We moved a ton of things in storage. We moved into my mother-in-law’s condo. Elizebeth’s wrist healed. I’ve returned to Microsoft after a very nice stay as Mr. Mom. And now our beautiful home is on the market.
It actually makes me quite sad. This home has ushered in two baby girls. I had to paint their special rooms all white to make it more sellable. It was difficult. Ava has spent the first 3 years of her life there and Audrey her very first year ever. The home has treated us extremely well.
Over 4 years ago Elizebeth and I got up super early to be the first people at the sales office so when they released it we’d have it secured. We secured it for $225,000. At the time it seemed like so much money. Heck, my first condo at Northgate was purchased for about $80,000 and I was scared about how to make payments. Close to 9 months after we secured the property it was complete and Elizebeth was about 6 months pregnant. The property had already appreciated about 10% in the time that we had only put $1000 down for earnest money. That’s one of the beauties of new construction when you have to wait for it to complete.
A lot of life has happened in the last 3 years 3 months we’ve lived there. So my hat goes off to my sweet townhouse which I’ll remember forever. If only you were closer to Microsoft and had a back yard, we would have kept you a while longer. :)
I can’t wait to move into our new place! Though, we should be living there longer that 3 years. I’ve thinking closer to 100 years. I hate moving! But everyone says that. :)
Sean.
