Zune: Welcome to the social Posted on November 14th
In less than one year from white board ideas through today’s official launch, Zune is here! Go buy one!
Today’s has been lots of fun! The Zune team had a launch party this morning where we all got free limited edition devices. We got to choose between bright orange or pink. Very cool. They also gave us a bunch of other sweet Zune accessories, like a docking station, A/V cables, etc. I also got to talk face-to-face with Robbie Bach (President of Entertainment & Devices @ Microsoft), J Allard (VP under Robbie and also co-creator of the xbox), and Bryan Lee (VP and CFO under Robbie). J and Bryan basically run all the Zune efforts. Very cool people.
Apparently, Target is already sold out of their Zunes! The brown has been the most popular followed by black and white. I have no idea how many they got, but I know it’s a lot.
