Sin City / The Longest Yard Posted on February 23rd
Got a couple more movies under my belt last weekend. Sin City and The Longest Yard.
Sin City, a movie I knew nothing about, was a masterpiece of visually stunning cinematography and story telling. I found it very unique. The story itself was pretty good. I’m sure if I read the comic and knew more background stories into the characters I’d have more appreciation for that. I’d recommend it if you are into comic based movies and interesting story telling. I would warn you that their is quite a bit of booty flashing on the screen and it is extremely violent. But if that doesn’t bug you, have at it. 8/10 Golden Neumie Nuggets.
The Longest Yard, staring power house comedians Adam Sandler and Chris Rock. Ultimately, this movie was disappointing. I mean you’ve got Sandler and Rock; I should have been in stitches! It did have some funny parts of course, but I think there was more worth in the underdogs going for victory aspects of the story. While I don’t follow sports, I do like watching sports movies. Weird huh?
If none of that makes you want to watch the movie, you should at least watch it to see a sweet Bentley in action and a "wouldn’t be a Sandler movie without a Rob Schneider cameo" scene. You can do it! 6.5/10 Golden Arches.
